Father Michael Rear
Fr Michael was brought up in Yorkshire, and after ordination in the Anglican Church served curacies in Hull and Goldthorpe. He then became a Vicar in Bradford for fifteen years until he was asked to be Vicar of Walsingham. Here he and his wife, Cathy, became Catholic, and he was ordained priest in 1996. He remained in Walsingham on the staff of the National Shrine, combining this with being successively Parish Priest of Walsingham and then of Fakenham.
After retiring he and Cathy came to live in Mistley, where they much appreciate and enjoy being part of the parish of St John Payne, with Fr Jon. For the first few years here he was Catholic Chaplain at the University of Suffolk.
